Louisville Downtown Development Corporation is responsible for crafting the Downtown Development Plan and overseeing the multitude of actions necessary to carry it out.  In addition, at any given time the LDDC often initiates, or is asked to undertake, a series of shorter term efforts to help advance specific development goals or to tackle a challenge that may be inhibiting progress in a certain area.  Examples of these efforts include the creation of the Downtown  Housing Fund, the expansion of the convention center, West Main Street land banking, the feasibility of the transformation of the Galleria into Fourth Street Live!, the Spaghetti Junction redesign feasibility, and most recently the Arena Urban Design program and the two-way streets feasibility analysis.
